Two companies, one solution Mitsubishi Development Pty Ltd is also a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation and is the holding company of Mitsubishi’s coal investments in Australia including several export coal mines throughout Queensland. Both Companies had previously conducted their remuneration reviews using a spreadsheet based approach of emailing worksheets to managers for input and pasting these spreadsheets into a master document. The process had several flaws including confidentiality issues, difficulties providing a rich source of data whilst keeping worksheets to a manageable size, lengthy manual checks, mail merge issues producing remuneration letters and data access issues if the HR manager was unavailable. This process was time consuming and presented a high risk of errors. The Organisations sought an alternative that would provide data integrity, real-time reporting, eliminate security concerns and reduce the reliance upon HR to drive the process. The Solution Remesys consultants worked closely with Mitsubishi Australia and Mitsubishi Development’s HR teams to ensure that R.Review was configured to incorporate each Company’s requirements. The solution incorporated market data from 2 surveys with weightings, each Company’s unique incentive schemes including individual and company performance results and 4 years of historic data. R.Review provided both Companies with secure online access to a single source of data, including all the information required to make informed salary recommendations, generate salary letters and produce value-add reports.
